The Kick-off Ceremony of the Silk Road International Cooperation Working Committee was successfully held in Beijing

On February 6, 2018, the "2018 Silk Road Ceremony", co-sponsored by the China International Chamber of Commerce Business Industry Chamber of Commerce Silk Road International Cooperation Working Committee and the China Electronic Commerce Association, was successfully held in Beijing Guoerzhao Hotel. After half a year of preparations,  the Silk Road International Cooperation Working Committee held a grand kick-off ceremony at the "2018 Silk Road Ceremony".

China International Chamber of Commerce Commercial Industry Chamber of Commerce Silk Road International Cooperation Working Committee (hereinafter referred to as the Silk Road Working Committee) is a global enterprises’ international cooperation institution with national-level cooperation institutions along the Silk Road and domestic top enterprises as the main body and guided by China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and China Chamber of International Commerce.

  The "2018 Silk Road Ceremony",themed by "A brilliant future shaped by the spirit of Silk Road centers on the launch of the Silk Road International Cooperation Platform as the main axis, aiming at aggregating and leveraging the resource advantages of all parties, and promoting China, countries along the Belt and Road and countries around the world to carry out international cooperation on a larger scale, at a higher and deeper level, and jointly building a platform for Chinese enterprises to exchange and cooperate with the countries along the “Belt and Road” and countries around the world for win-win development.

Mr. Cao Zhihui, chairman of the Silk Road International Cooperation Working Committee, delivered an important speech. He emphasized that the Silk Road International Cooperation Working Committee will extend international cooperation across the “Belt and Road” and countries around the world, spanning the three major areas of economy, technology and culture. The four major operation modes, including training, exhibitions, forums, and groups, are promoted through the close connection between countries, cities, projects, and people, and aggregating various cooperation resources to create "Belt and Road" cooperation platform: ministerial direct train needs to be open to lead cooperation; academician workstations need to be built to guide project cooperation; ambassador space exchange cooperation projects need to be created; expert think tanks need to be developed to promote project cooperation; private boards of directors is required to establish entrepreneurs' learning, communication and social platforms; Industrial fund need to be raised to promote the development of cooperative industrial layout; Industry 4.0 needs to be designed to provide technical guidance for project cooperation; and new channels need to be opened for project cooperation with the integration of military and civilian space.

Zhuang Congsheng, former vice chairman of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, and president of the China Private Economy Research Association, addressed the ceremony. Dong Songgen, former vice chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, and Dr. Anwar Al-Abdullah, ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to China, also delivered a speech.

In the speech, Ms. Tan Qiao, vice chairman of the China Electronic Commerce Association, stated that Chinese enterprises should fully play the prominent role of "Internet +" in participating in the construction of the "Belt and Road", and must take the concept of "interconnectivity, network first" as the driving force for international cooperation, the overall equipment and ability of enterprises to participate in the construction of the “Belt and Road” and international cooperation. Her speech has been unanimously recognized by the participants.

During the ceremony, Nan'an Pan Home Furnishing Industry Alliance, Belt and Road International Business School (Singapore), China Electronics Import and Export International Electronic Services Co., Ltd., Suzhou Shangjiukai Silk Technology and Culture Co., Ltd., Beijing Dazhanfang Network Technology Co., Ltd. Online (Beijing) Education Technology Co., Ltd. and other institutions and enterprises have signed a cooperation agreement on co-construction of the “Belt and Road” with the Silk Road International Cooperation Working Committee (SRIC).

Famous singer and national first-level actor Ms. Wang Xia was hired as the image ambassador of the Silk Road International Cooperation Working Committee. Liu Xinqi, Wang Canyun, Li Weiping, Yang Yunchun, Zhao Wei, and Liu Shiping were invited as special experts of the Silk Road International Cooperation Working Committee.

Chairman of the Silk Road International Cooperation Working Committee Cao Zhihui said that the formal establishment the Silk Road International Cooperation Working Committee is only the first step in the long march. He is bound to lead the team to develop the Silk Road International Cooperation Working Committee into a trustworthy, reliable and internationally influential and dynamic organization. They will set up sail and make their way through waves to achieve the grand goal of community of common destiny for all mankind.
