The SRICC Held a Matchmaking Meeting for Sri Lanka Projects
On September 24, the Silk Road International Cooperation Working Committee successfully held a matchmaking meeting for Sri Lanka projects in Beijing. K.K. Yonganaadan,the Minister and Deputy Curator of Sri Lanka in China, andAlexi Gunasekera, the Minister of Commerce attended the meeting.
The SRIC organized the Sri Lanka project matchmaking meeting based on the principle of pursuing shared growth through discussion and collaboration, sharing resources with many enterprises and seeking common development, and it is an exchange platform for enterprises to "go global" and "bring in". More than 20 entrepreneurs from various fields such as building materials, automobile manufacturing, intelligent technology, environmental protection, furniture, cultural dissemination, international trade, and service consulting were present.
After getting a basic knowledge of the SRIC projects,Alexi Gunasekera introduced the investment environment and preferential policies in Sri Lanka in detail, and focused on the promotion of Colombo Port City. Chinese entrepreneurs are welcome to invest in Sri Lanka, and they hope that the two sides will carry out in-depth cooperation in infrastructure construction, park construction, leisure and entertainment venue construction, and trade in specialty products.
Representatives of participating enterprises introduced their main business and overseas development plans in turn. Minister Yonganaadan and Minister of Commerce Alexi Gunasekera listened carefully and exchanged views with entrepreneurs in key areas of cooperation. Director Cao Zhihui reviewed the scene of his visit to Sri Lanka last year. He believed that Sri Lanka is a beautiful country with many investment and development opportunities. He is looking forward to future exchange and cooperation with the participating entrepreneurs. At the same time, Director Cao said that the SRIC will continue to organize matchmaking meetings in other countries so that more enterprises can be involved in the BRI and contribute to the community of a shared future for humankind.
